I'm going to be explaining what 4K means this is going to be a lot of fun

I hope you learned something

So what 4K describes is what's known as a video resolution a video resolution is defined by the number of pixels that are in the image a pixel is the smallest unit that makes up a video a bunch of these little guys make up all of this crop in and I'll show you what I mean

I hope that was beautiful video resolutions are based on width and height

So a 1920 by 1080 image commonly known as 1080p will be 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels tall remember geometry

Yeah, it's kind of like that makes sense

Right? The resolution of 4K is 3840 by 2160

So it's four times as much as what we're used to in HD today

It's more pixels

And more pixels means more detail in your image

How many pixels you ask 8 million two hundred and ninety four thousand four hundred

I knew that number off the top of my head

I mean guys look how far we've come you guys

Remember DVDs

Look how small DVDs are on this graph compared to how great 4K is an image detail

It's a DVD

I remember when I got my first DVD, I was like sweet
